Ola Electric CEO Bhavesh Aggarwal launches company’s first E-Motorbike segment “The Roadster” at the Sankalp Event on Independence day 2024. Based on the specs , the motorcycles look far ahead of the conventional ICE engine counterparts available in the indian market. Thr prices announced will prove to be disruptionary in the two wheeler segment which is primarily dominated by petrol engines.
The Roadster series comes in three variants, The Roadster Pro, that is the top of the line ,max specced version Comes with 2 battery options, 8Kwh and 16Kwh battery packs .It can achieve the speeds of 0- 40 in just 1.2 seconds, with top speed of 194 Kmph, 52 kw peak power and a whopping 105 nm torque and unbelievable range of 579 kms ins a single charge which is currently unheard of bikes in india and puts it closer to superbike categories .Roadster pro houses 10 inch tft screen ,ADAS, Usd front suspension.
The prices are Rs 1,99,99 for the 8Kwh battery and 2,49,999 for the 16 kwh battery.
The second category is the Roadster, which can achieve 0-40 in just 2.2 seconds, with the top speed of 126 Kmph and 13 kw peak power. The bike comes with the range of 248 Kms in a single charge. The bike houses futuristic led, 7 inch tft display, diamond cut alloy wheels, aluminum subframe, and monoshock suspension at the rear. Roadster comes with 3 battery options.
3.5 Kwh battery variant is launched atRs 1,04,999.
4.5 Kwh battery variant is launched atRs 1,19,999.
Whereas the 6 Kwh battery variant is launched atRs 1,39,999.
The smaller variant Roadster X can achieve the speeds of 0-40 in 2.8 seconds, the bike has top speed of 124kmph with 11 kwh peak power. The bike comes with the range of 209 kms. The Roadster x houses iconic led lamps, 4.3 inch lcd screen, twin shock absorber at the rear and 18 inch alloy wheels.
Roadster x comes in 3 battery categories.
2.5 kwh with the price of Rs 74,999
3.5 kwh with the price of Rs 84,999
4.5kwh with the price of Rs 99,999
More details on the bike are awaited. You can book the Roadster and Roadster X starting today and the deliveries will be starting in Jan 2025. The delivery of roadster Pro the top model will start in FY 26 .
