Former Dehli Deputy CM granted bail from Supreme Court.

Manish Sisodia senior AAM AADMI PARTY leader and former Deputy Chief minister of dehli was granted bail on 9 August 2024 by supreme court.
Case registered by Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of investigation for the connection of
Dehli excise policy .
Backstory :
New Dehli Excise Policy 2021-22 launched November 2021 . Allegation and widespread of protest was made over the policy and lapses .
Later result in removal of policy by August 2022.
LG of Dehli V K Saxena asked CBI to examine the new policy on 22 July 2022 .
Manish Sisodia who held responsibility for the excise policy was alleged for doing financial favour.

Supreme Court granted bail to former Deputy CM after 17 month being behind the bar without any trial for charges related to excise policy .
Trail for his bail lasted for 17 months .
Supreme Court bench said trail courts and high courts PLAY SAFE and Deny Bail .

Court ordered AAP leader to submit their passport, along with bail bond of 10 lakhs and report to investigation officers.

Manish credits power of constitution and democracy for his bail .
